5 Ways to Incorporate Your Unique Style in Your Wedding

Here’s how to plan for your big day to make sure you show your unique style in your wedding.

1. Use Pinterest- Isn’t Pinterest just the greatest? It is a great tool for browsing what’s out there, especially when it comes to planning a wedding that shows off your unique style. Early on, it can help you figure out things like if you need an indoor or outdoor venue, if you want to class it up or down. Pinterest is great for the basics, and it’s an easy way to give your lady some input on colors, venues, styles, and themes that help bring out your personal style in your wedding.

2. Quit using Pinterest- And sometimes, isn’t Pinterest just the worst? Once you have your initial considerations considered, get off Pinterest. Otherwise, you can get pretty bogged down in the details, and lose sight of creating ways to show your personal style in your wedding. Use it to get an abstract idea that really depicts you and your bride, but once it’s time to settle on the details you’re going to want to look within a bit to maintain your personal style in your wedding.

3. You be you, and let her be her- Some of the best weddings are the ones that allow both the bride and groom to bring their unique styles and tastes in their wedding. Innovative Yet Classic: Wooden Accessories on The Tonight Show

This month marked the end of an era at NBC, as the television network bid a final, emotion filled adieu to comedian and talk show host, Jay Leno. Leno’s seemingly endless tenure as the host of The Tonight Show was celebrated for its continuously high ratings, varied celebrity guests, and the most remarkable comeback in late night talk show history. In honor of his epic run, Leno’s final Tonight Show included many of the famous faces he has invited to the show throughout his time there including Billy Crystal, Jack Black, Kim Kardashian, Jim Parsons, Oprah Winfrey, Sheryl Crow, Carol Burnett and Clippers point guard- Chris Paul. Although all of these special guests dressed for the occasion, one in particular caught our attention. Basketball player, Chris Paul, wore our favorite look, dressed in springtime green trousers, a prim blue button down shirt and a gray blazer. To top it all off, Paul added one of our unique wooden flower lapels. The stylish ensemble made for an unforgettable fashion statement on Leno’s legendary last show.

The Tonight Show saw a huge revamp switching coasts and hosts, with Leno’s replacement, the young and vivacious Jimmy Fallon debuting the show in New York. Just as classic as Jay Leno’s last show, Jimmy Fallon brought on a great roster of celebrities, lots of laughs and good music performed by The Roots, the amazing band who previously complemented him on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Arguably the most well known member of the Grammy award-winning band, front man, Questlove seemed to take a hint from Chris Paul’s appearance on the show. He dressed for the big occasion in a navy tailored suit, black button down shirt and a Two Guys Bow Ties Floyd wooden bow tie. A Groom's Wedding Responsibilities, Part 1

Fellas, let’s get this out in the open now: don’t let anyone tell you that the groom’s responsibility for his wedding is just to show up on time. It’s not true. The groom’s responsibilities for the wedding might not be as extensive as the bride’s, but he does have them. We’ll help you out with a short list of the groom’s wedding responsibilities in a two-part series. After reading these posts, you should be covered on any and all wedding responsibilities for the groom.

Purchase an Engagement Ring

The first (and one of the most important) wedding responsibilities of the groom is to purchase an engagement ring. While we could go into an elaborate discussion on carat size and style, the most important thing to know is your finance’s personality. Is she a traditionalist? If so, you’re going to want to pick the engagement out yourself and surprise her. Ask her family and friends what they think she’d like, but only just before you’re ready to buy it. If she’s not a traditionalist, you will probably want to get her input. Take the time to notice her reaction to the rings of women around her, and also consider whether she would like to use a band or diamond passed down from a family member.

Choose your Groomsmen

Another wedding responsibility of the groom is to choose the dudes who will play a role in your wedding: the best man, groomsmen, and ushers. As part of this responsibility of being the groom, it’s important to choose your most responsible, dependable friends and members of your fiancé’s family. It’s the groom’s responsibility to choose guys to come for the opportunity to help out and witness a momentous occasion—not just for the beer and wine…or cake.

Choose your Groomsmen Attire

Famous Bow Tie Wearers: Justin Timberlake

There’s a lot we could say about Justin Timberlake. We could talk about how he’s funny, smart, and iconic like a modern day Sinatra, but we’d rather talk about his neckwear of choice: the bow tie. We’ve held true to our thesis that famous bow tie wearers have shaped the modern world, and while we’ve discussed men who changed the world politically and ideologically, now we want to talk about the dapper deftness of another famous bow tie wearer: showbiz’s Justin Timberlake.

Like we said though, we only want to talk about Justin Timberlake’s bow ties. We know you don’t care anything about the history we’ve all heard so much about: like how he escaped from The Mickey Mouse Club only to find his way into the oft maligned boy band, ‘N Sync. You can’t say Timberlake hasn’t paid his dues.

But paying cruel dues that Hollywood sometimes doles out couldn’t keep JT down. You know what else couldn’t keep JT down? That haircut that he had.

Despite this, Timberlake rose from the ashes like a phoenix, donning that symmetrical, masculine icon: the bow tie.

Sometimes a bow tie is all it takes, fellas. One day you could be teetering toward becoming the next Lance Bass, and then all of the sudden, you’re the next Justin Timberlake. While most of us are Joey Fatones, JT is different. JT is different from all of us. He’s funnier, he’s probably smarter, and he’s way more handsome.

Of course you know what he’s done after ’N Sync so why do we need to reiterate it? JT is a plain ol’ fashioned superstar. He’s as good an actor as he is talented musical act. Timberlake is constantly reinventing himself. Think about this, he’s one of the only guys who could steal your girlfriend at every stage throughout your life, yet you’d still want to have a beer with him. Your elementary girl loved him on Mickey Mouse, your middle school girl loved ’N Sync (and your high school girl loved them too). Your first college girl, the movie buff, loved him after Black Snake Moan (2006), and your second college girl, the partier, loved him because he brought “SexyBack”. But every since you married her she loves him for his philanthropy, or so she says. You even like him now too, especially after The Lonely Island stuff and The Social Network (2010). He’s an icon.

Every time JT stares at defeat through the lens of boy band shades or a terrible movie’s camera he bounces back hard, but graceful, and always on beat. Almost like he’s about to fly.

It’s no wonder Justin Timberlake is one of the most famous bow tie wearers of all time. The guy moves seamlessly and tenaciously throughout any and every genre all in an effort to entertain. He’s a singer, an actor, and he’s one of the funniest guests to ever appear on SNL. Yeah, he’s all dat. You can’t be all dat if you if you’re unwilling to take a risk. We’re sure that’s what the bow tie is all about. In these slouchy times any kind of tie is becoming rare, but only the bold wear the rarest.

Only the boldest wear a bow tie. When you add some rare material like hardwood to the mix, we think you’ve taken the first step becoming more Justin Timberlake and less Joey Fatone. And we could all use less Joey Fatone.
